### **About the Role:**

The Product Manager will support a variety of functions, including revenue-cycle operations, provider management, and integration with third-party platforms. Automation and strong systems are the lynchpin for enabling scale (we are scaling rapidly) and driving supply for more people to get care. Quality user experiences for clients, providers, and staff are key. Our team is distributed across the US and has varied backgrounds, from education to fitness, advertising, travel, and healthcare. This role is virtual, with the opportunity to work in person in San Francisco in the future.

### **Responsibilities Include:**

- As Product Manager, you will lead engineering initiatives, depending on your interests and experience, from among improving revenue-cycle efficiency and outcomes, creating efficient and effective provider onboarding, creating tools to support providers, and integrating systems that will create our industry-leading delivery of mental health care services.
- Partner with Engineering, Design, and stakeholders to shepherd product solutions through the full product lifecycle: brainstorming, research, wireframing, testing, development, deployment, impact-evaluation, and optimization.
- Influence UI and platform improvements, 3rd party integrations, business partnerships, admin tools, etc. - opportunities are plentiful.

### **Preferred Qualifications:**

- Comfortable with a hypothesis based approach, experimentation and have the ability to quantify impact, both scrappily and leveraging advanced product analytics tools such as Mixpanel.
- Empathy & perspective for end-users and stakeholders with strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to assess and synthesize information and share information in an accessible way.
- Curious and teachable; a growth mindset towards building new skills and taking on new responsibilities as our business needs mature and change.
- Strong operational and/or cross-functional experience, especially with non-technical partners, navigating varied viewpoints to build trust and shared accountability towards outcomes.
- Nice to have (truly): growth experience, experience in health care, experience working in regulated fields (healthcare, education, security), marketing & crm integrations.
- Preferred 3+ years of experience in a product management role solving complex business problems with demonstrated measurable impact to the business and user experience.

As Octave’s Corporate IT Associate, you’ll be responsible for providing efficient and friendly IT support to employees and contractors.  You will be responsible for onboarding and offboarding employees, provisioning devices and accounts, and tracking our device inventory as we grow as a company.  You will be the initial point of contact for all IT support requests and troubleshooting needs, providing clear and thoughtful solutions to everyday tech issues. You will be instrumental in ensuring your colleagues are set up for success and able to use technology to complete the varied aspects of their jobs.

This is a unique role that is well-suited for someone who has a passion for IT, service, enjoys the fast-pace of operations, and is excited about growth at an innovative startup.

### **Responsibilities Include:**

- Onboarding and offboarding employees and contractors and training them on the use of our systems.
- Be first point of contact for users who reach out with technical issues over ticketing system, direct message, and all other channels.
- Utilizing various systems to assist with password resets and lockouts.
- Managing device inventory and ensuring devices arrive to new employees on time.
- Provisioning devices and setting up new accounts in partnership with the People Experience team and hiring managers.
- Answering questions and troubleshooting issues experienced by colleagues, seeing each issue to full resolution.
- Routing complex issues to the appropriate higher tiered support team.
- Partner with IT Team to build out documentation.
- Provide input and support on multiple projects across the organization.
- Perform other duties as deemed necessary.
- Pacific Time Zone hours preferred - Remote.

### **Preferred Qualifications:**

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an customer support role, IT support experience preferred.
- Experience navigating and using admin tools, preferred experience with Google Workspace, Slack, and other IT tools.
- Quick learner and ability to adapt to changing environments.
- Experience with systems management solutions (JAMF, MDM, OneLogin, etc.).
- An understanding of account provisioning methods and systems.
- Passion for providing superior customer service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A solutions-driven attitude along with the ability to give clear technical instructions.
- Experience using Zendesk (or a similar ticketing system) to track and communicate issues to resolution.

Bonus points:

- IT certifications and/or accredited trainings.
- Previous experience with HIPAA and healthcare is a plus.

Frontend Engineer

About the Role:
The Backend Engineer plays a crucial role in developing robust systems and tools to support clients seeking care, providers offering care, and the operational team and infrastructure. As a member of our small but growing team, you will primarily work remotely, utilizing Python (Django), gRPC, and GraphQL to integrate and streamline our operations.

Responsibilities Include: 
Design, develop, and implement scalable and robust backend systems and APIs using Python. 
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, product managers, and tech leads to define technical requirements and system architecture.
Mentor and guide junior backend engineers, sharing technical expertise and fostering their professional growth.
Optimize database design, performance, and security to ensure data integrity and efficiency.
Conduct thorough testing and debugging of backend applications, ensuring high-quality, bug-free software.
Oversee deployment and maintenance of backend services, ensuring smooth operation and uptime.
Collaborate with frontend and other teams to integrate frontend interfaces with backend functionality seamlessly.
Promote best practices to maintain high-quality codebase.
Participate in technical discussions and design reviews to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Develop and maintain technical documentation for backend systems and processes.

Experience with gRPC and Protobuf.
Experience with relational database systems like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
