**What You’ll Do**

- Lead by doing! Directly design, build, and maintain our data infrastructure and production environments while recruiting and building a team of outstanding data engineers
- Design, build, and maintain our data infrastructure and pipelines to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient processing of large volumes of data in production environments
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to track the performance, health, and reliability of our data infrastructure and pipelines, and proactively identify and address issues or anomalies

**What You’ll Bring**

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 6+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on building and maintaining very large data infrastructure and pipelines in production environments
- 5+ years of experience in team leading and managing strong data engineers
- Proficiency in Python and experience with data engineering tools and frameworks
- Proficiency and knowledge of different modern databases like Postgres and DynamoDB
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and familiarity with data storage and processing services such as S3, BigQuery, or Redshift
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for pushing the boundaries of what's possible

**We are looking for a Team Lead, Machine Learning Engineer to join our Vancouver team!** Our ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of foundational concepts in machine learning and software development, allowing them to take ownership of the full development and deployment pipeline.

**What You’ll Do:**

- Be responsible for design, development and maintenance of scalable production machine learning pipeline that includes data ingestion, data transformation, data validation, automatic model training, automatic model tuning, model evaluation, orchestration, model management and other components
- Work with a team of engineers and Data Scientists to build tools and pipelines to improve our machine learning deployments and systems
- Collaborate with Data Scientists to optimize research outcomes and models for production
- Lead other machine learning engineers and data scientists with technical decisions to deploy models to product and integrate them with new or existing services
- Contribute to the entire development and deployment pipeline from proof-of-concept to model serving & MLOps
- Take ownership and responsibility for team practices and processes and their continuous improvement

**What You’ll Bring:**

- 6+ years of experience applying Machine Learning in industry, ideally across a variety of problem areas and data pipelines
- Degree in computer science, machine learning, engineering, mathematics or equivalent highly technical field

**What You’ll Do**

- Improving system quality by identifying issues and common patterns, and developing standard operating procedures

**What You’ll Bring**
