Receipts is a small team of athletes and crypto nerds on a mission to build a better connected and healthier world by aligning incentives between those who move and the brands that propel us to start lines and finish lines.
Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead React Native Engineer to join our small, but mighty team in transforming the health and fitness industry by way of crypto/blockchain. As a foundational member of our engineering team, you'll play a crucial role in developing and shaping our mobile application that integrates with connected hardware devices (such as Apple Watch, Garmin, WHOOP, etc) and utilizes services like HealthKit and Maps.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development and maintenance of our iOS application, ensuring high performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
Integrate our app with various connected hardware devices (e.g., Apple Watch, Garmin, WHOOP) and leverage HealthKit to incorporate the health & fitness data that powers our user experience.
Work closely with Vic & Steph to quickly define, prototype, and ship new features.
Implement robust security measures and ensure the safe handling of sensitive user data, including integration with crypto wallets and transactions, if applicable.
Maintain code quality, organization, and automatization, incorporating best practices and security standards.
Stay up-to-date with the latest iOS platform and hardware developments, as well as advancements in the crypto space, to continuously innovate and improve our product.
Provide thought leadership and mentorship to incoming engineers as our team grows.

Requirements:

BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, a related subject, or equivalent practical experience.
Proven working experience in iOS app development, with a strong portfolio of deployed applications/features in the App Store.
5+ years of experience in developing iOS applications using React Native & Expo (bonus: experience with Swift, Objective-C, Xcode, and the iOS SDK)
Experience with libraries and APIs, specifically those related to health and fitness hardware and Geolocation (e.g. HealthKit, Maps, etc).
Strong understanding and experience in building and maintaining large-scale codebases.
Strong knowledge of UI design principles, patterns, and best practices for mobile platforms.
Experience with crypto and wallets is highly desirable.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with a creative and innovative mindset.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
