Location: Remote, US 5+ years’ experience as Geospatial Engineer 6+ months contract – 1099 or C2C Visa: USC, GC, H4EAD
Qualifications:
• Geospatial Engineer, Big data, BigQuery, PostGress, Python • Experience with GIS tools like GDAL library, PostGIS, and BigQuery spatial • Proficient in working with vector data, especially complex polygons. Some awareness of raster data will also help, but vector is a must. • Familiar with various GIS data formats (shape files, geo-json, WKT, WKB, geodatabases, geoTIFFs) - Concepts such as projections, and how they are handled across various file formats • Proficient in SQL, and spatial queries based on PostGIS spatial functions • Nice to have: Python, Python-based spatial libraries. QGIS/ArcGIS
