Overview:

Role; Oracle Retail Developer
 
Key Responsibilities:

Development: Writing code, creating and modifying database procedures, and developing software solutions for Oracle Retail applications.
Integration: Integrating Oracle Retail systems with other business systems and legacy systems.
Testing: Conducting unit, system, and integration testing to ensure the quality of the software.
Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving technical issues within the Oracle Retail environment.
Support: Providing technical support to clients and end-users.
Consulting: Collaborating with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions.
Documentation: Creating technical documentation for the developed systems.
Collaboration: Working with functional, architecture, and quality assurance teams.
Learning: Staying up-to-date on new Oracle Retail technologies and best practices.
 

Specific skills and knowledge:

Oracle Retail Technologies: Familiarity with Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS), Oracle Retail Insights, and other Oracle Retail products.
Database Development: Proficiency in PL/SQL and SQL.
Programming: Experience with programming languages relevant to Oracle Retail (e.g., Java, JavaScript, etc.).
Integration: Experience with web services, APIs, and integration frameworks.
Systems and Architecture: Understanding of system architecture, design patterns, and microservices.
Testing: Experience with unit testing, system integration testing, and performance testing.
Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
Communication: Strong communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
