Overview:

Humans are toolmakers! We founded Flux to take the hard out of hardware, to make it as easy for a teenager to build an iPhone as a website. We want to unleash the latent human potential held back by the high barriers of creating breakthrough physical products. We want to accelerate technological progress by making it possible for anyone, regardless of background or resources, to bring their best ideas to life in physical form.

Flux is a browser-based PCB design tool featuring an AI Copilot, a user programmable simulator, and a large public library of parts, templates, and full designs. Our core tech stack includes Typescript, React, CSS, R3F, webGL, GCP, Firebase, Github Actions, Netlify.

What are we looking for?

You are autonomous - a manager of one. You will take full ownership of your work, and you assume the responsibility for every detail, every step of the way, including clear documentation to share your work with your team. You have a passion for the Javascript eco-system and browser-based tools and want to work on a project that is used by other engineers around the world!

Qualifications

Strong fundamentals in Computer Science and OO programming
Passionate about learning new technologies
Previous internship or work experience with Typescript or Javascript is required
Passion for building developer tools, automation, and unit tests
Desire to learn how to build, deploy, and/or host images and containers
You care about quality and you want to learn what it means to ship high-quality code

Nice-to Have

Some prior experience with React, Node, AWS or GCP
Familiarity with RESTful or GraphQL services
Familiarity with technologies such as Github Actions, CircleCI, Jenkins, or similar
