Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cognos Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, developing, and implementing Cognos BI solutions.


Responsibilities:

    Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
    Design and develop Cognos BI reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions.
    Perform data modeling and design of relational and dimensional databases to support BI solutions.
    Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Cognos reports and queries.
    Implement best practices for Cognos development, security, and administration.
    Manage Cognos deployments, upgrades, and patches.
    Stay current with industry trends and advancements in Cognos BI technologies.
    Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Cognos applications.


Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
    Minimum of 6 years of experience in Cognos development and administration.
    Strong proficiency in Cognos BI Suite (Report Studio, Query Studio, Framework Manager, Transformer, etc.).
    Expertise in data modeling, SQL, and database design (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, etc.).
    Solid understanding of BI best practices, data warehousing concepts, and ETL processes.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across different teams and levels of the organization.
    Relevant certifications (e.g., IBM Certified Developer - Cognos, IBM Certified Administrator - Cognos) are a plus.
